About Kate
I am an Occupational Therapist Driving Assessor and I support people to start driving or return to driving. I also teach the people around them valuable tools and techniques to be as effective as possible in supporting that goal.
It is important to me to:
Always be welcoming and kind and take the time to answer questions properly
Get back to people’s calls and emails quickly
Be as well networked, informed and as up-to-date as it is possible to be
Share my advanced knowledge of my field of practice with others
When I am not OT’ing I dabble in basketball, riding my bike, being hilarious, doing the mum and partner thing, and looking after the excessive number of pets we have adopted. There’s also watching Call the Midwife…
I really want to thank:
The many medical professionals, including GPs, Neurologists, Rehab Physicians, Endocrinologists and Geriatricians who have referred their wonderful patients to my care over 10+ years and regularly ring for a chat.
My colleague Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and other Allied Health Professionals who continue to recommend me and also ring for a debrief.
My fabulous Rehabilitation Driving Instructors – David and Kylie – for sharing the enormous highs and scary lows of the world of Driver Rehabilitation. You always have my back and we together have our clients’.
Most importantly of all - thanks to the 100s of patients and clients I have seen over the years for Occupational Therapist Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation. Your stories are inspiring and humbling; and it is a privilege to spend a slice of life and celebrate wins with you.
