Who would benefit?
This programme is for OTDAs in NSW. I am the “Transport NSW Whisperer” not the “Vicroads Whisperer.” Or any other whisperer, for that matter. I will only teach what I know very well.
Folks who have recently completed the OT DA course and are unsure what to do next.
Folks who completed the course some years ago and have not completed a DAx for a while and would like to re-commence this area of practice.
What do you get?
2 x 1 hour sessions with me (F2F or Zoom) to bed in your knowledge of the OT DAx process and what you need to do to work in this complex area with both confidence and competence.
Copies of my assessment tools and process for OT DAx.
Copies of 3 (de-identified!) TFNSW reports.
Copies of 3 (de-identified) GP/Specialist Letters (yes – you need to send these).
Copies of the email template I use with Transport NSW.
Copies of email formats to Drivers.
Attendance at an OT Driving Assessment with me. This will be in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area.*
3 months of check in calls so that when you start getting referrals in you can talk through your strategy.
* Of course, I need client consent and I advise the client I have a new OTDA with me. Please note I frequently have uni students with me and have found, over the years, that most folks are very kind and happy to have a newbie on board to learn.
