For Car Drivers

Upshot OT helps folk achieve their driving and independence goals. I see clients and patients with the following goals:

  • They have been diagnosed with a medical condition that impacts their ability to drive safely and they want to get back to driving as quickly as possible for as far as possible for as long as possible

  • They have been diagnosed with a medical condition and are still driving, however need help to stay behind the wheel

  • They have a medical condition that means they cannot drive a normal car the regular way eg they can’t use one of their hands, or perhaps one or both of their feet, in a way that is functional, safe and legal for driving.

  • Young folks who have their Learners Licence however have been having difficulties learning to drive the traditional way

  • Young people who have not yet started to drive however have been diagnosed with a condition which may well impact their ability drive and who would really like to be given the opportunity to learn how to drive in a way that makes sense to them
